Welcome Everyone. My name is Dawn and I am a Registered Nurse. I have 3 grown children, who are the lights of my life and I will soon be a Grandma.
I am with a wonderful man who has 2 children and 4 grandchildren and a heart as big as Texas. I haven't worked in about 9 months, and Steve is retired, so we spend a good bit of time traveling.
My life is good now, but it hasn't always been.
From the time I was little, I faced many rough times and had to climb over what seemed to be impassible obstacles. Some were things I had no control over and some were due to bad judgments and mistakes on my part. And, a handful of them brought me to my knees, where I thought I would stay, because it was just too hard to get up again. But I did. I did get up, each and every time. I knew I couldn't give up because there was so much more I wanted to do and needed to do. So, with every hurdle I come to, I climb it. It might take me a really long time to conquer it, but I do. I guess part of it is because I am stubborn, but the other part is that I love life and I can always see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I am a perpetual optimist and nothing can keep that kind of energy down for very long. It fights it's way out and keeps fighting against all of the negative forces it encounters.
